October 14 is the date set that Bali’s International Airport can officially start to receive international arrivals again!
While this welcome news has got us all excited, not everyone will be able to land in Bali from October 14. So far the ‘approved countries’ to have flights arriving in Bali are :
- Japan
- New Zealand
- China
- South Korea
- UAE
International arrivals from these countries will be able fly directly to Bali & quarantine in Bali (instead of the current option of Jakarta). Eight days quarantine still remain a requirement, and there are a list of approved quarantine hotels that visitors must book prior to arrival (and fund themselves).
There is still no news of any tourists visas being issued again, at this point the approved arrivals to Indonesia remain the same (Diplomatic visas, Resident visa, Business visas).
Stay tuned for more updates on the reopening of Bali. Small steps such as seeing visitors arrive to the International airport again have certainly got everyone starting to feel optimistic about rebuilding Bali’s tourism.
